On July 22, 2005 we acquired
SpringHill Suites Atlanta Buckhead located in the prestigious
Tower Place office park, in the Buckhead area, a
high-end urban market of Atlanta, Georgia. The newly
constructed hotel opened on July 1, 2005. Nearby
attractions include two of the country’s most elegant
shopping malls, Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza, along
with Turner Field, Philips Arena, Georgia Dome, Georgia
Aquarium, Centennial Olympic Park, World of Coca-Cola,
Georgia World Congress Center, SciTrek Museum and the
High Museum of Art.
The purchase price for the new, modern 11 floor hotel (with 220
custom-designed suites and 2,436 square feet of total meeting
space) was $34,000,000.
